Job Description
GBR Recruitment are working in partnership with a high volume modern manufacturing business recruiting for an experienced Payroll Manager, to successfully manage the provision of an efficient, confidential & accurate weekly / monthly Payroll service for 1000+ employees ensuring accuracy, timely processing, compliance & legislation plus continuously looking at improving / streamlining payroll processes. Reporting into the Head of Payroll you'll be part of the companies Payroll & HR team providing support to multiple sites within this fast paced but fun working environment.

As Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the below duties:

* Successful effective & accurate Management, processing & reconciliation of weekly & monthly payroll to maintain full compliance with both contractual & statutory obligations, ensuring accuracy across all parts of the process including year-end processes (P11D / P60)

* Leading a highly proactive plus reactive payroll department, working closely with the payroll team, business operations plus the wider HR team to improve all payroll processes & procedures (focused on CI), including responding to enquiries from employees in a timely plus highly accurate manner

* Mentoring, coaching & developing the payroll advisor by identifying L&D requirements plus providing/creating real training opportunities

* Promote & deliver an extremely high standard controlled payroll processing environment reviewing all payroll balances with finance to ensure all payroll reconciliation is completed timely & any issues are resolved ASAP meeting operational & statutory deadlines plus all legislative requirements

* Deliver the provision of complex payroll calculations

* Supporting business improvements looking at efficiencies, cost savings, automated processes, lean ways of working, LEAN methodologies, quality of service, training & personnel development plus more

Ideal Attributes for this role:

* CIPP qualification would be beneficial (not a must have)

* High volume complex Payroll Management experience (1,000's)

* Ideally from large scale manufacturing site/s

* Ideally multi-site payroll experience

* Strong Excel & Payroll systems skills (they use cascade)

* Strong communicator
