Job Description
We are inviting applications for Operation Manager for an International Global Bank based in city London. This is newly created, senior level position reporting directly to the Head of Operations & Services.

The Bank has a well-established presence in the UK and the Board and management have developed a clear strategy and identified areas requiring Business Developments and Operations in order to deliver a positive performance for the future.

The role covers the business activities of the Bank – Subsidiary and the individual will be required to understand the Team Management and passion to grow in the Bank. The focus of this role will be to manage regulatory operations projects, process improvements and change management with good understanding range of back-office banking operations .

Key Responsibilities :

Banking Operations – Account opening, Debit Cards, Cheque Books etc
Payments Knowledge – Bacs, Chaps, Faster Payment, Swifts, Direct Debits, Cheque Clearing – Inward and Outward
Managing Branch and Backoffice operations
Centralisation of Branch Activities
Writing Policies and Procedures
NRI (Non-Resident Indian) Desk – India based NRE/NRO accounts opening facilitation and KYC certification on behalf of branch, NRE/NRO related customer queries handling
Online fixed deposit product — Overall Operational Supervision
Online Rupee Remittance product – Overall Operational Supervision
Manging and submission of FATCA return
Managing Ops Resilience project for the Bank
Process review, Improvements and updating existing process manuals
Change Management within operations
Any other additional activities/project which come time to time and Cover Head of Operations in his/her absencePersonal Specifications and Competencies

University degree in business / other relevant degree from a recognised study provider / a recognised professional qualification
Team management experience
Experience of Project work, particular transformation / efficiency / operational excellence
Good understanding of Banking IT systems
Good understanding of Banking Operations with offshore operations set up.
Good experience of working with and managing 3rd party suppliers
Good communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in a multi-cultural environment
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and other windows applications
