Job Description
Management Accountant (cost & production analysis) – part-time 4 days per week
Providing financial support, cost and production analysis and associated reporting across several functional areas, you’ll need to understand the story behind the data whilst challenging results with managers to build and deliver a culture of robust cost management.
What you’ll be doing
Based at our Newton Abbot site you’ll be supporting the Site Manager and other senior managers to ensure actual and standard cost calculations, consumption, and efficiencies.
Responsibilities include:
* Journal postings, allocations, reconciliations & analysis, monitoring accruals and overseeing accounting ledgers
* Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers
* Delivery of accurate and timely reporting
* Budget and forecast process support and ad-hoc analysis of Capex projects
* Analysis of forecast, variance, and reconciliations
* Forecasting and longer-term planning
* Maintaining the health, safety and environmental standards on site, for yourself and others around you
Your experience
Ideally a fully qualified Accountant however, consideration will be given to part qualified with cost accountant/analyst or similar role experience.
* Ideally, worked in industrial manufacturing and understand its processes and costing principles
* Product costing experience desirable
* Be proficient in IFS/SAP, ERP
* Be able to handle complex financial information
* Have the confidence to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure
* Possess the ability to convey clear and concise information
* Demonstrate strong IT skills especially in Excel and Google suite package
* Hold a full and valid UK driving licence and your own vehicle
