The role of Loan Closer Client Services
GLAS are currently providing third party Loan Closing services to various Asset Managers/Private Equity Funds and require an experienced Loan Closer to join a business with focus on growth and first in class service to our clients.
We are looking for a dynamic individual able to work in an entrepreneurial fast pace working environment. To be successful in this role you are an effective communicator and already have 2-3 years experience in this field.
Responsibilities
* Closing of high-volume PAR and Distressed LMA and LSTA loan trades
* Partnering with Client Operations and Middle Office contacts to ensure timely settlement of trades and management of cash flow
* Co-ordination and timely solution of any post trade settlement cash queries with Client and Counterparty
* Drafting of Loan Trade settlement documentation – Trade Confirmations, Transfer Documents, Pricing Letters (amongst others) when not settling via electronic platform
* Review of underlying credit documentation (main focus on Tax and Transfer mechanics) to ensure accurate assignment of debt
* Managing waiver/amendment process versus open trade book portfolio
* Strong market sense/knowledge. Escalating trade settlement issues when required
* Assisting the Loan Agency Team with settlement of secondary Clearpar Trades on an ad-hoc basis
* Carrying out Loan Administration Duties on behalf of clients.
* Processing Rollovers, Drawdowns, Repayments in booking systems
* Working with Agents to resolve discrepancies
* Reconciling Accounts
* Providing Reporting to clients
Experience and Qualifications
* Proven examples of working to tight deadlines
* A high degree of detail and strong organisational skills
* A desirable degree in a finance or business-related field
* Experience of operating in a similar role previously
* At least 2-3 years of Loan Closing experience across LMA and LSTA Par and Distressed markets
* Thorough understanding of the ClearPar trade settlement platform
* Full understanding of LMA and LSTA terms and conditions
* Must be comfortable with high volume trading activity
