Job Description
My client a 'Household Name' in the Watford area are seeking an Interim Accountant to join the team

Job Purpose

The Interim accountant (IA) is a newly created opportunity to support the Financial Controller and will be primarily focussed on the month-end reporting process and audit deliverables including interim review and year-end statutory audit.

The IA will be primarily responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts and preparing supporting schedules for the year-end audit and interim review.

The IA will be responsible for updating the Intangibles asset register and maintaining the related balance sheet reconciliations.

The IA works closely with the Financial Controller, Head of FP&A and the finance assistants.

Key Result Areas

Main duties and responsibilities include:

* Preparation of the monthly management accounts

* Preparing audit schedules for interim review and year-end audit

* Preparation of data and analysis for month end reporting

* Initial review of the P&L postings/balance sheet reconciliations prepared by finance assistants and ownership of balance sheet reconciliations

* Assist in preparing PL and FA finance regulatory submissions

* Managing the business planning process, P&L and balance sheet reconciliations

* Ad hoc duties and analysis required by the CFO to meet the needs of the business.

Hourly Rate equates to a salary upto £50,000
