Graduate Accounts Trainee

Clemence Rogers Limited is currently acting on behalf of a large privately owned company in Northern Ireland with a multi-facetted business model incorporated in Ireland, and throughout the United Kingdom. We are looking for a Graduate Accounts/Finance Trainee who has the drive and the motivation to join a small, but well-established finance team.

Key Responsibilities of a Graduate Accounts/Finance Trainee:

• Preparation of monthly journals

• Maintaining of Accruals & Prepayment schedules

• Address and resolve queries daily

• Assist with the administration of the weekly payment runs

• Assisting in the preparation of the monthly & quarterly P&L and variance analysis

• Assisting in the preparation on monthly cost reports & cost meetings

• Assisting in the preparation of costings for new opportunities

• Assisting in monthly reconciliations and month end closure

• Assisting in the calculation of the client reconciliation accounts

• Maintaining the standard costing for Financials

• Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts throughout the financial year

• Adhoc queries/tasks that arise through course of business

• Project management

Ideal Candidate:

• Must have good A level qualifications.

• Achieved or be predicted a 2:1 degree or equivalent third level qualification

• Studied in one of the following subjects: Business Studies, Economics, Finance & Accountancy or a combination of same

• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and workload management

• Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office, and in particular Excel.

• Good communication skills

• Able to work under pressure and to tight month end deadlines

• Willing to work away from home and or be involved in short term secondments to work with finance teams in owned business units
