French or Italian Speaking Accounts Assistant Job in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
Job Description
Our client, a forward-thinking technical business in Hemel Hempstead is recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant who is fluent in French or Italian.
The successful candidate will be joining an expanding, global company with offices in the USA and Europe. Reporting to the UK based Accounts Receivable Manager, the role is to support the sales process through the monitoring of customer accounts and to ensure appropriate information is used to manage credit exposure within the European region.
What’s in it for you:
* Hours: Mon-Fri 8.30am-5pm, 3 days in the office, 2 at home
* Salary: £30k-£33k depending on experience + 4% bonus potential

Key Responsibilities:
* Strong experience in billing, raising manual credit notes and processing manual invoices. Supporting sales transactions, through review of credit exposure and risk.
* Debt Collection for Europe, liaising with Customers externally and internally to resolve debt queries promptly and professionally.
* Cash Forecasts, Aged Debtor Reporting.
* Management of bad debt
* Documentation and process control of all activities in compliance with internal controls.
* Ad hoc Operational & Finance requests from Senior Management.
* Build close working relationships with other Finance departments, Customer Service and Sales Managers
* Adhere to a close timetable for month and quarter end

* Ability to multi-task, prioritise and problem solve
* Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word & Outlook
* Flexibility around quarter and month end required
