Job Description
Interim Financial Controller opportunity with a profitable business based in the Birmingham area.

This is an integral position, joining the senior leadership team to help steer the business to maximise efficiency and achieve growth targets. This is a truly exciting position for a hands on Financial Controller or for a strong and experienced Management Accountant looking to make a step up into a leadership role. Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE candidates will be considered.

Key tasks:

– Production of the monthly management accounts
– Monthly analysis of stock movements
– Stock takes
– Effectively run & manage all areas of the Finance
– Identifying & implementing improvements in processes & team efficiencies
– Adhoc Projects
– Daily cashflow management
– Responsibility for & management of Balance Sheet control accounts
– Weekly sales reports
– Develop & improve the weekly reporting model & KPI framework
– Quarterly VAT returns, managing all HMRC audits
– Own & manage the year end audit process working closely with Auditors
– Systems maintenance & development (including identification for improvements)
– Lead business advisor for all financial, tax, payroll items etc (working closely with Auditors)

My client is looking to turn this opportunity around quickly. Initially looking for somebody for six months- there is longer term potential with this role. My client is based in the office. They are easily accessible from public transport links.
