Job Description
Axon Moore are partnering with an exciting business near Wigan to recruit a newly qualified Financial Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to work for an industry leading and growing business that is currently going through progressive and positive change.

Responsibilities include:

Working alongside the Financial Controller in overseeing the UK controls, including the annual completion of the Financial Control Framework Questionnaire.
Business partnering including providing support to the international hubs and sharing best practice to ensure robust controls across the group.
Responsible for VAT compliance processes and return preparation, including international VAT returns
Working alongside HR to ensure Employment Tax Compliance processes are robust.
Responsible for completion of the entity year end statutory accounts.
Leading the annual corporation tax compliance work and preparing the tax submissions to group.
Support the Financial Controller in Anti Bribery and Corruption (ABC) compliance
Identify process improvement opportunities and efficiencies
Supporting period end reporting processes as necessary
Exposure to upcoming ad hoc projects e.g. UK SOX, technical accounting changes, new business set-ups
This is an excellent varied opportunity for a technically strong first time mover to step into a high level role within an established business, with the opportunity to drive change and make the role their own.
