Financial Accountant

Penryn

Circa £35,000 DOE + 24 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension + Social Events

Monday to Friday – 37.5 Hours Per Week

Financial Accountant required for a well-established, people focused company. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a varied position to play a key role within the company’s finance team.

The successful candidate will need experience working in a finance environment where they have been involved in managing both internal and external corporate reporting. Candidates from any industry are encouraged to apply. You will need to be either ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified or part qualified (or equivalent). The ability to understand and analyse financial details to produce accurate reports is key.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will be working within a team of 5 in a broad and varied financial role. You will be involved in overseeing the budgeting process, supporting the payroll function, and looking at ways of continuous improvement.

The role will involve producing business plans, forecasts, and business performance reporting. You will provide financial analysis by collecting, formatting, analysing, and explaining information. You will also be involved in the preparation of monthly finance management packs, preparing cash flow forecasts, and identifying opportunities for this to be improved. This will involve looking at cost and pricing variances.

The successful candidate will ensure all financial information submitted to regulatory organisations is compliant. This will involve responsibility for the monthly VAT return, Intrastat and Statistical returns. You will also be involved in monthly payroll administration, reporting and reconciliation.
