Job Description
Finance and Facilities Manager
– Stroud
– Full time, Permanent
– Salary up to £35,000 per annum
Reporting directly to the Operations Director with indirect report to the MCE Treasurer. The role will also engage with MCEL Board members responsible for Property and Equipment maintenance and for Health and Safety.
Main Responsibilities:
Produce the management accounts, after a period of induction
Manage all aspects of accounting records
To produce the detail required in the development of annual financial plans
Be responsible for day to day liaison with the auditors
Invoicing and debtor management
Bank reconciliations
Purchase invoicing, controls and payments
Maintain fixed asset register
To oversee the management of all IT systems used within MCEL
Management of the maintenance team, including ensuring effective working practices
Maintain Company Secretarial and Charity Commission filings
Oversee Health and Safety administration, internal and external reporting, and assist the Operations Director on ensuring the Safety Management Plan is kept on schedule.What you will need:
An appropriate accounting qualification either Certified or Management Accountant is desirable though depending on experience not necessary
A proven record of managing small teams of people
An ability to work across functions and with those of different skills in a team orientated manner
Care sector work is not necessary but would be an added advantage
Flexible in approach
Self-motivated with an ability to understand the broader role
