Job Description
UK Finance Manager – Scunthorpe –£60,000 – £70,000

Chase & Holland are excited to be working with a highly reputable, international, manufacturing business based in Scunthorpe who are seeking a hands on UK Finance Manager for a newly created role. This is due to rapid growth but also wanting to bring the finance function in house from group. This role would suit a proactive Qualified Accountant, who is looking for a genuine opportunity to lead the financial accounting function for the UK, preparing accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and advice to enable efficient and effective management decision making, and enhance commercial performance. You will work closely with the Factory Manager driving culture and performance in what is a very forward-thinking environment.

Chance to become number 1 Finance Lead for the UK and number 2 to the UK GM Finance Manager Responsibilities:

Prepare all month and year end closing activities including general ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations – providing complete and accurate financial information
Accurate fixed asset register maintenance and produce monthly reconciliation and reports
Complete finished goods, raw material, and packaging stock management and reconciliation reporting
Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements, management reports and CAPEX – reporting to Senior Leadership Team
Monitor performance to budget, delivering variance reports to Site Managers monthly and reporting in monthly meetings on actual versus operating plan performance and forecast
Managing a small team including an Assistant Accountant ensuring effective transactional finance activities including AP, AR and Aged Debtor management are in line with company requirements
Development of systems and processes with a 'continuous improvement’ approach
Liaise with the wider business, from Senior Managers, Sales Managers and site-based staff and discuss the numbersRequired Skills & Experience:

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) who is technically strong
A strong understanding of FMCG and manufacturing processes
A commercial mindset with previous product costing and stock management experience
Ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the company both in the UK and internationally
Strong Excel skills with proven ability in delivering insightful sales analysis
