Job Role

Our client based in Peterborough are looking for a Finance Manager to join their experienced and knowledgeable team on a permanent basis. Working in a manufacturing environment, to ensure the smooth running of the finance function whilst looking after a small team.  The role is ideal for someone who is ambitious to develop their career in an SME organisation where they will have the flexibility and opportunity to make a difference.

Job Responsibilities

Managing the auditing relationship and overseeing month end
Accountable for managing and developing the transactional cash management and auditing functions
Leadership of a small team and covering purchase and sales ledger responsibilities   
Ensure accurate management accounting processes are in place whilst seeking best practice opportunities.
Reporting to the bank and other external financial partners
Responsibility and control of the balance sheet
Take a proactive role across the business in relevant finance projects

Person Specification

CIMA qualified beneficial but not essential based on record of relevant experience
Confident communication, verbal, written and IT skills
Worked in a busy manufacturing environment advantageous
Capable of managing and leading colleagues
Desire to be key part of the management team
Comfortable being hands-on and dealing with small repetitive tasks when necessary
Demonstrate integrity of financial information

Hours of Work and Pay

9am to 5pm M-F
25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
Salary 27k to 35k DOE
