Job Description
Robert Walters are excited to be representing a hugely successful global PLC in their search for an ambitious Finance Manager to join their operational finance department. Reporting in an impressive member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring a timely month end close supported by a set of bank and control account reconciliations. You will also manage, coach and mentor a team, also supporting projects around process improvements and controls processes.
You will also utilise strong data and systems skills to take lead on transitioning work to a powerful new reporting tool.
The role:
Lead, develop and motivate the team and management team to maximise performance through effective goal setting, coaching, and mentoring
Checking and validating variance data (accruals, wrong coding, unusual postings)
Lead and provide oversight for month end balance sheet reporting
Evaluate management information to drive continuous improvement of service levels and KPI's to ensure robust, scalable and repeatable solutions and processes
Approval of journal entries in accordance with Company Financial Policies and procedures
Assist with SOX, external and internal audits
Drive and Impart technical and process knowledge to teams
Support monthly/quarterly/annual analytics preparations and reviews
Lead a culture of operational excellence to deliver high quality service to customers and stakeholders
Drive process standardization and productivity across all teams
Maintain strong stakeholder relationship and drive changes initiatives to align to Business needs You as the successful individual:
Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
A proven leader who can develop and motivate a team
Advance Excel and systems skills
Previous experience in a business with high volumes of data
Collaborative approach to work and a problem-solving mindset
Excellent communication skills This role requires a self-motivated and focused individual with the leadership attributes to manage and coach a team of 6 within a fast-paced working environment. You will possess excellent data and systems skills and have previous exposure to controls and reconciliations along with the communication skills to build internal relationships.
