Job Description
Finance Manager
Brook Street is currently recruiting for an experience finance manager for a local charity. They are willing to offer you between 40k – 45k to join and amplify their operations. Find out if this is the right opportunity for you, below.
Key Responsibilities:
o Acting as point of contact and spokesperson for all financial aspects of the charity and a trading subsidiary company.
o Providing complete and parallel Financial Accounting Services to the Charity and its trading subsidiary arm, maintaining proper records of all financial activities, and reconciling any inter-company issues between the charity and its trading arm.
o Implementation & Administration of a Pension Plan for both the Charity and the Subsidiary as and when required
o Dealing with all queries and compliance issues relating to HMRC/Inland Revenue, the Charity Commission, and the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator.
o Providing financial expertise, leadership, and high-quality support to the Management Team in the UK and Internationally.
o Preparation quarterly reports for management and Trustees and presenting these Management or Board at Board meeting
o Closely monitor the expenditure side and intimate well in advance about the expected material transactions.
o To ensure the provision of accurate and timely financial information including budgets and forecasts.
o To Ensure necessary controls and monitoring is in place and monitor these
o Maintain income sheets of revenue including standing orders and any other monthly revenue such as grants or other payments.
o Integrating Sage, QuickBook with existing charity databases e.g donor, orphan sponsorship ECT.
o Maintaining separate records and reconciliation: restricted grants, funds raised.
o Managing and administering day to day incoming cash flows
o Completion of all relevant Quarterly/ Annual (as applicable) or other statutory Compliance requirement
