Job Description
Great role for a successful and busy, privately owned business on the outskirts of Bradford. As well as a great working environment, they take great pride in training and developing staff.
As Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for managing day-to-day finance and administration functions of the business. Reporting into the FD and supporting with developing the financial strategy, budgets and systems.
* Excellent knowledge of Word and Excel.
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
* Experience of managing a team.
* Proven leadership qualities.
Job tasks
* Manage the day-to-day activities of the Finance and Administration functions.
* Manage the nominal ledger, ensure timely and accurate postings and reconciliations.
* Produce monthly management accounts including departmental expense and budget variance reports for all offices.
* Produce sales and gross margin reports based on projects completed and full accruals analysis
* Assist the FD with budgeting and forecasting.
* Manage requests for information from other departments and assist the FD to develop a reporting facility that confirms Finance at the centre of cost and efficiency management for the business.
* Assist with the implementation of the new finance system, supporting colleagues in finance and other departments to ensure testing is completed across all areas.
* Develop reports in the new finance system to streamline the month-end process.
* Assist the FD in developing the cash flow forecasting and improving funds investment and returns.
* Manage the audit and obtain prompt submission to Companies House.
NB This is a full time, site based role, however, once up to speed, there is the option to work 3 days office based and 2 from home
