Job Description
Sellick Partnership is curently supporting an innovative education establishment with the recruitment of a permanent Finance Business Partner. The Finance Business Partner will proactively work with the Senior Management team to transform services, using a commercial mind-set to ensure strategic aims are achieved providing professional advice and information.

Key responsibilities:

Be proactively involved in the Performance Management process, attending meetings with Senior Management to provide management information to support strategic decision making
Work with the Head of Finance and Senior Managers to support the business drive changes and efficiencies through more proactive financial management
Line manage finance staff and work with colleagues to ensure the finance processes are undertaken timely and accurately
Ensure Finance staff prepare annual budgets by working with budget holders to prepare budgets, including the verification of curriculum planning, and prepare cash flow forecasts
Prepare or oversee the preparation of the statutory Annual Report and Financial Statements and the Financial Forecast for the ESFA. Prepare or oversee all other statutory returns, e.g., HMRC returns, grant claims, pension returns as directed
Work with the Finance team to prepare monthly management accounts. Liaise with a set of budget holders to ensure they have the financial information they require to manage their budget.
Assist in the development of robust financial systems to improve the provision of management information to budget holders and assist in the management of financial risk Person Specification:

Fully qualified member of a CCAB Accountancy Body, eg ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA
Preparation of management accounts and financial reports
Experience of managing staff and track record of successful people management
Substantial experience of budget management, budget setting and accounts closedown in a comparable organisation
Strong interpersonal skills to deal with, and build, relationships with a variety of staff/Governors
Excellent analytical and IT skillsBenefits:
