Job Description
Role: Facilities and Health & Safety Coordinator (12 mth FTC)

Location: Newbury

Hours: Full time (35 hours per week) Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

Salary: £25k

Newbury Building Society are looking for a Facilities and Health & Safety Co-ordinator to join them for 12 months. You don’t need any Facilities experience! Full training will be provided to you.

The purpose of this role is to support the timely and efficient delivery of a variety of facilities services across their Head Office and 10 branches. To do this you’ll need to be highly organised and you will be responsible for managing your own workload and priorities.

Your excellent customer service and communication skills will be vital when liaising with your team, internal colleagues, and external contacts such as contractors, suppliers, landlords and local authorities.

You’ll use internal systems to carry out day to day administration as well as assist the team in preparing plans, work schedules, reports and procedures.

Working closely with the Premises and Facilities Manager, you’ll ensure compliance with regulations from a Health and Safety perspective.

You’ll need to be a little flexible when work needs to be completed out of hours or when a trip to one of the branches is required. They are currently renovating their branches and have other major projects planned during this 12 month period, so things will be busy and a positive response to changing priorities and demands will be required.

Essential Criteria:

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience

* Experience of providing the highest quality service experience for internal and/or external, customers.

* Fully competent in Microsoft packages – Word, Excel, Outlook and Office 365

* Current driving licence

Desirable Criteria:

* Professional qualification in Health and Safety (IOSH, NEBOSH)

* Previous experience using computer aided Facilities management system (CAFM)

* Experience of working within a Facilities team
