Job Description
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit an Examinations Officer to work with one of our client Secondary schools in the Boston area. The school is an improving school that has seen vast improvement in recent years with a change of leadership. With cohorts between the ages of 11 – 16, the role will be focusing particularly on the GCSE examinations each year, as well as some other relevant qualifications.
About the role:
Covering a long term period of absence, potentially the full academic year
Submitting entries for external examinations to awarding bodies in advance of deadlines
Answering enquiries regarding external examinations with staff, students and parents
Organising exam materials, providing safe custody of and organising examination stationery and materials
Organising the examination rooms and seating plans
Providing a timetable to include dates, times, venues and number of students
Arranging invigilation, including briefing and training invigilators in school procedures
Ensuring accurate maintenance and management of pupil and school data
Maintaining the SIMS database and producing of data reports
The ideal candidate for this exams officer job must have previous experience of organising the examinations in accordance with regulations within schools
SIMS experience is essential
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working within an office environment (school/education-based experience would be highly desirable)
Comfortable working to strict deadlines
Proficient at using SIMS software
Effective communicator both written and verbally
Previous experience inputting data into spreadsheets & online systems would be an advantage

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
