Job Description
Debt Recovery Officer needed with Oxfordshire County Council

Start Date- ASAP

Location – Abingdon

Duration – initially 6 months (potential to go permanent)

Hours per week – 37 hours per week

Salary – £15.36 ltd an hour

Description:

To work within the Adult Social Care Income Team, which is responsible for managing the invoicing and collection of adult social are means tested fees as well as case managing the recovery of accrued debts in relation to unpaid contributions from social service's users or their estates
This includes working alongside Social Workers to support individuals to repay, raising safeguarding concerns, instructing formal court procedures to take place or putting forward cases for write off
You will be responsible for undertaking the collection of arrears owed for means-tested care services: monitoring high-risk debtors and taking prompt action in line with agreed procedures to reduce the Council's bad debt positionWhat is required?

GCSE Level A-C in English and Maths or similar
Previous experience within a similar role
