Job Description
As the Trainee Collections Advisor you will be joining a family run and FCA regulated successful business who work with small businesses, banks and insolvency practitioners, with the recovery of overdue invoices and fully outsourced credit control. This position is offered on a permanent basis and is 100% remote based.
Overview
You will be responsible for providing services in the most timely, compliant and efficient manner, while meeting personal and team targets and ensuring that the highest levels of quality and efficiency are maintained.
Main accountabilities for the Trainee CollectionsAdvisor after training
Manage a portfolio of live, current and overdue debit customer accounts, making 50-80 calls per day Resolve queries in a timely and satisfactory manner
Liaise with clients and provide updates on customer accounts
Manage own workload to meet business targets and KPIs
Maintain quality and professionalism at all times
Facilitate and record escalations to the Collections Manager
Perform against targets individually whilst contributing to the overall productivity of the teamSkills, attributes, and experience required for the Collections Advisor
Understanding of credit control, collection or basic accounts experience
Enthusiasm and dedicated team member
Good level MS Office skills with a keen eye for detail
Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team

This role will inititally require you to work in the Southampton Head office for training, estimated 6 weeks before becoming remote based.
A starting salary depending on experience is £22,000 – £24,000. Other benefits include health insurance, life insurance, 25 days holiday and more
