ACCOUNTANT/CLIENT MANAGER – BRISTOL – JOB REF: JO15464

We are delighted to again be working with a well established multi site practice that although they are part of a wider group still retain their identity. They are looking to recruit an ambitious practice accountant to join the business services department as a client manager. The successful candidate would work with a portfolio of clients within a team; review accounts and tax computations for an existing client portfolio, be able to lead client meetings, maintain and develop the current client relationships ensuring tax efficiency and delivering commercial insight. They are offering a fantastic salary of up to £50k.

Our client requires an experienced Qualified Accountant (ACCA or ACA) with 5+ years practice experience.

Duties of the role include but not restricted to:

* Review accounts and tax computations for an existing client portfolio of owner managed businesses with turnovers between £500k – £30 million.

* Review accounts and tax computations for an existing portfolio of UK subsidiaries of international groups.

* Maintain and develop current client relationships ensuring tax efficiency and delivering commercial insight.

* Ensure work allocations are planned and take responsibility for the management of deadlines for this portfolio.

* Be able to lead client meetings.

* Be able to train and develop staff on controls and procedures and in getting the best from their own resources as well as providing constructive feedback to team members.

* Continue your personal and professional development through education, training and experience.

* Complete/review and be interested in ad hoc project work whether in tax or accounting.

Requirements

* Qualified ACCA or ACA with a minimum of 5 years practice experience.

* The preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies.

* The preparation of corporate and personal tax returns.

* Helping clients with their systems and accounting as required.

* Supporting team members.

* Must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
