Job Description
Our major Insurance Broking client has a new opportunity for a Professional Indemnity Claims Handler to work with some of their major clients.

In this exciting Claims Handler role, you will be primarily responsible for the Management of the strategy and process for the notification, agreement and successful settlement of a portfolio of varied and high profile claims.

Working in an experienced team with a Manager who is a great mentor, this would enable you to continue to develop your career in Claims and then potentially wider within the Group.

While experience of Financial Lines claims is advantageous, having related legal experience and a great approach to getting the best result for your clients, is also an option as excellent training is in place.

Our Client fully supports hybrid working so you will be able to work from home and from the office to suit both your own and the business requirements.

As a Claims Handler some of your key responsibilities will involve:

Complete claim notification and subsequent advice and settlement to carriers.
Advice on coverage and analysis of related issues for clients to facilitate the settlement of claims.
Carefully handle the claims negotiation process with Clients, Underwriters or their legal representatives or Loss Adjusters.
Proactively anticipate and present to clients the best strategy to resolve the claim.
Co-ordinate discussions and meetings to ensure first class communication concerning the proposed settlement.
Negotiate the payment and settlement of claims with Clients and Underwriters
Engage, supervise and lead third party providers (e.g. Loss Adjusters, Lawyers, Surveyors, Engineers etc.).
Technical Claims support for pre-renewal meetings, placing and renewal
Issuance of timely, accurate and clear instructions to the outsourcer to enable claims to be processed.
Conduct data analysis to establish the claims history and identify trends and patterns
Collect data on large and sophisticated claims and ensure effective communication is in place internally and externally.
Assist in setting and managing the strategy to satisfactorily conclude contentious claims in tandem with other areas of the business.To be successful as a Claims Handler you will demonstrate:

End to end claims handling experience
Experience of handling claims within Financial Lines classes, including PI or D&O
Negotiation and strong interpersonalskills
