My high-profile Financial Services client is looking for a Change Management Consultant to join their team within the business which will focus on maintaining and improving the EMEA operational resilience frameworks, governance, regulatory deliverables etc, ensuring the ability to safeguard EMEA's legal entities, clients, and assets. This support role has a broad remit across various departments / teams and therefore good communication skills are essential as is good IT skills, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, and Database used for analysis, documentation, testing and reporting purposes. Working as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Co-ordinate the Resiliency and Business Continuity testing programmes covering internal and external activities and assessing the adequacy of the required response and recovery actions for Important Business Services within EMEA.
Co-ordinate the Important Business Services Value-Chain resource monitoring, keeping record systems up to date on annual review or material change, and assessing the adequacy and inter-connectivity of the required recovery strategies for Important Business Services within EMEA.
Develops appropriate 'severe but plausible' scenario test plans for Important Business Services and for Business Continuity exercising, in collaboration with the defined catalogue.
Co-ordinate / collaborate across business teams to ensure Corporate annual Business Continuity testing requirements are met and delivered on time.
Takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
Exercises judgement based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
Identifies resiliency gaps based on scenario testing results and outcomes, escalates vulnerabilities, and suggests remediation activities.
Contributes to ensuring maturity lifecycle of operational resilience regulation, so it is applied robustly across the business, including implementations, impact assessments, delivery, and reporting.
Co-ordinate small projects / programmes of work to address resilience gaps or weaknesses identified, which have manageable risks and resource requirements.
Contribute to the development of business continuity plans in line with the standards and corporate guidance.
Contributes to the planning and execution of Operational Resilience training and awareness activities.
Ensures compliance with the Corporate Operational Resilience and Business Continuity frameworks, procedures, and guidelines together with all relevant regulatory requirements and where appropriate implementing actions to protect the business.
Knowledge / Skills:
Good knowledge of: Operational Resilience regulatory framework including consultation papers covering Important Business Services; Business Continuity; Disaster Recovery; corporate risk policies and standards.
Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in own job discipline.
Background in operational and IT practices including integrated testing.
Good understanding of risk management practices including cyber security and how they apply in financial services organisations.
Accustomed to data analytics tools and reporting (including Power BI)
Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work, with ability to drive to execution.
Initiation of thought process and ability to work independently.
Ability to be solution oriented, drive and think outside the box
Good collaboration and communication skills.
Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
Ideally 5-7 years exp in a similar role
