Job Description
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking, highly organised and customer focussed individual to join our expanding Accounts Receivable Team as a Cash Allocation Clerk, based at our Head Office in Lichfield. This role is aimed at someone who is looking to progress in to a Credit Controller/Billing Analyst role.

Role & Responsibilities:

Downloading all payments received from the online banking system
Coding and loading all payments to the accounting system
Timely and accurate allocation of all payments
Saving all remittances received
Reconciling payment data received against invoices raised
Contacting customers to request copies of missing remittances
Liaising with the Credit Controllers where payments do not directly match the invoices they are intended
Ensuring payments are coded correctly where payments are unable to be allocated in full
Forwarding any relevant information to the Credit Controllers where under or over payments occur
Reviewing legacy allocations where reconciliation/enquiry is required
Supporting the Credit Controller's where needed

The ideal candidate:

Essential
Attention to detail
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent reconciliation skills (predominantly Excel based)
Able to work well as part of a team
Comfortable contacting customers where required
Ability to work towards and achieve deadlines and targets

Possess good self-motivational skills
Excellent organisational skills to prioritise work load
Ability to learn new systems quickly
Calm and confident demeanour
