Job Description
A Financial Services client is recruiting for A Card Technical Specialist, who will be responsible for ensuring that services and the customer outcomes achieved are managed within regulation, process and both protect the Bank and customers to ensure the bank meet regulatory needs. Act as the point of reference to stakeholders across the Bank.
The Card Technical Specialist will apply their cards technical knowledge at both industry and business level to improve working relationships within the bank and effectively and efficiently manage change, process tasks and instructions.
Purpose of the role:
* To be responsible for supporting both regulated and proposition led change for all card products, largely from a technical perspective.
* To support operational team by having a detailed understanding of operational processes, and Technology & Product teams through their technical and operational expertise.
* The Card Technical Specialist will be accountable and responsible for managing relationships with key industry suppliers and ensuring effective communication across the organisation relating to any scheme led initiatives.
* To ensure the operational control framework for cards is aligned to all regulation and scheme compliance; working with the Manager to deliver the over-arching cards support service.
* To act as a deputy for the Head of Department, ensuring any key decision points regarding the card’s platform, operational process or product is considered against the broader strategic aims of the Operations department.
The Card Technical Specialist will ensure that the collective team works in an agile, flexible way to enable execution of key customers tasks and referrals against agreed bank policies. The Card Technical Specialist will be accountable and responsible for delivery of the following metrics relating to:
* Customer Satisfaction
* Cost Management
* Control Execution and meeting core regulatory needs
* Colleague engagement
Role responsibilities:
The Cards Technical Specialist is expected to oversee the continual operations of cards service and delivery of cards related change into BAU service by:
* Co-ordinating service reviews with our cards suppliers, ensuring any mandated or regulated changes are consider from stakeholders across the business, tracked and delivered.
* Oversight of internal Payment and Card forums to ensure all related activity is managed in a cohesive manner.
* Provide SME support to bank wide projects across the spectrum of Payments & Cards both internal and regulatory change activities.
* Work to deliver business readiness, ensuring handover from project to operational BAU is completed within agreed warranty periods.
* To work flexibly alongside other leaders which support the overall achievement of operational objectives.
* Act as point of reference for colleagues, and deal with queries/questions, helps with team member problems, and oversees teamwork for quality.
* Ensure working practices and procedures are developed and adhered to.
* Use expertise and skills to develop other staff in the team and promote the role across the bank.
* Lead on tasks, providing solutions and process improvements.
* Ensures incidents are recorded in the Incident Management System and reviewed and analysed.
* Support FLOD testing.
