Assistant Accountant Job in Leeds

Job Description
We are delighted to be working with an innovative business in Leeds who require an Assistant Accountant. Starting immediately the role is covering a permanent vacancy and could be offered on a temp to perm basis.

The role has 2 main focuses: sales ledger / credit control and purchase ledger. This role could be of interest to an experienced Assistant Accountant or a strong Credit Controller who wants to gain experience of Purchase Ledger.

Main responsibilities:
• Customer billing
• Allocating cash
• Daily cash book reconciliation
• Reporting daily cash balances
• Chasing outstanding debt from customers
• Processing purchase ledger invoices and preparing payment runs
• Ad hoc tasks

The candidate:
• Minimum experience of sales ledger / purchase ledger
• Be keen to learn new skills and develop with a team
• Able to solve problems
• Be organised and possess good communication skills
