Assistant Accountant Job in Dover, Kent
Job Description
HRGO are seeking an Assistant Accountant for their office based in Dover. The main purpose of job is to support the management and financial accounting roles and preparing the month-end accounts and reporting. The ideal candidate will have previous accounts experience, must be able to work to deadlines, be organised and methodical. It would be beneficial to have worked with Sage200, Scripting/SQL, Qlik, IBM Analytics, Datev. It would also be advantageous to be able to speak German and to have any previous experience with foreign currency accounts.
Job responsibilities
Create monthly management accounts file ensuring all sage transactions are captured and reconciled
Monthly gross profit reconciliations analysis and accruals
Monthly overhead prepayment and accruals
Balance sheet reconciliations, including banks and intercompany
Assist expense processing and accruals
Assist sales ledger and purchase ledger with reporting and advanced ad hoc problem solving
Other ad-hoc duties and reporting as required
Experience
Preparing management accounts
Reconciliation
Qualifications
At least part qualified, or studying towards CIMA, ACCA, ACA
Advanced excel experience (i.e., vlookup, sumif, pivot table, if statements, etc.)
