Accounts Assistant

Sherburn in Elmet LS25

£25k – £30k

Full Time Permanent role

Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm also working 1 in 6 Saturdays on a rota basis

Commutable from Pontefract, Castleford, Garforth, York, Leeds, Wetherby

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to support a busy well established company based in Sherburn in Elmet.

The Role  

Due to our growth within the industry my client has a fantastic role available, they require an Accounts Assistant to add to our already established team. The successful candidate will assist both the Financial Director and the Senior Accountant.

Duties

Ordering of stock, sending purchase orders and dealing with suppliers.
Liaising with Supervisors to ensure works have been completed, Issuing Sales invoices, allocating payments and chasing outstanding payments.

Balancing both Supplier and Customer Accounts.

Balancing Credit Card Statements and making relevant payments.

Checking Subcontractor invoices and arranging relevant payments.

Checking on Company fuel usage and dealing with fuel companies and fuel cards

Posting Payments to Sage.

Updating Cashflow.

Analysing P&L on Projects.

Assisting Financial Director and Senior Accountant with weekly financial reporting and month end procedures and Company Insurances.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience

The ideal candidate will be able to work well under pressure within a fast-paced environment, carrying out a variety of tasks and be able to prioritise workload.
At least 1 year’s experience in general accounting is preferred.
SAGE 50 Accounts or similar
AAT or working towards
Excel
