Job Description
SF Recruitment are currently working with a fantastic, private equity backed business based in Birmingham City Centre who are looking to bring on board a Tax Assistant. This is a vital role for the organisation which requires a pro-active and hands-on tax professional to support the Group Tax Manager centralise the in-house management of the Group's tax obligations.
The Group is executing an exciting and ambitious growth strategy and a critical part of this role is to ensure that the Group remains tax compliant throughout the growth and new international acquisitions are integrated efficiently and effectively from a tax perspective.
Key tasks:
– Working with the Group's tax advisors to ensure all corporation tax returns are prepared and filed on time in all the jurisdictions that it operates
– Preparation of UK and Irish VAT returns
– Working with local finance teams to ensure overseas VAT returns are prepared and submitted.
– Support the Group Tax Manager in preparing the monthly tax forecasts and monthly and annual tax reporting.
– Support the Group Tax Manager to maintain appropriate tax risk management and SAO documentation.
– Support the Group Tax Manager with adhoc tax projects on transfer pricing, group restructuring, changes in tax legislation etc
