Our client is a customer focussed, award winning and established local financial services provider. Following a promotion within the finance team they are looking to recruit a Strategic Planning & Analysis Manager to lead a small team and partner the business This is a great opportunity for someone who lives within a reasonable commute of South Cumbria with 5years+ finance management experience with strong analysis / modelling skills.
Key responsibilities for the Strategic Planning & Analysis Manager role:
* Production of the 5 year corporate plan including financial modelling, coordination of key stakeholders and presentations to senior management and the Board
* Preparation of the annual corporate plan and strategic objectives including coordination of key stakeholders and presentation of the plan.
* Business partnering with various business areas, most specifically the Treasury Team and Chief Commercial Officer.
* Preparation of the monthly management accounts and Board MI, including forecast and variance reporting.
* Recurring and ad-hoc analysis of actuals vs forecast/plan for the Executive and Board. Improvement of management and planning information for performance drivers across the Society’s assets and liabilities, margin income and cost base.
* Partnering with the business to supporting retail lending and funding decisions and loan pricing as part of the Product Pricing Committee
* Provide forecast/plan balance sheet and income drivers for annual ICAAP submission including responsibility for stress scenario modelling.
* Ownership of pricing tool and Return on Capital (ROC) methodology
Experience required for Strategic Planning & Analysis Manager:
* Strong financial modelling, advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills and experience of delivering presentations to senior stakeholders
* Qualified accountant
* Commercial Finance experience gained through working in FP&A, business partnering or product related roles
* Leadership qualities and ability to communicate with junior and senior members of staff and up to Board level senior executives
Travel and hybrid working: Our client works on a hybrid model and expect staff to be at Head office in Barrow-in-Furness approximately 50% of the time. Hybrid working is done with a purpose (so in office for collaborative working, meetings etc rather than x number of days a week). This means there will be a requirement to be in the office more at peak times (e.g. year end, when plans are being signed off etc) but with flexibility at other times. There may be some options for a relocation package or travel allowance, depending on specific circumstances.
