Service Charge Accountant
Southampton/Birmingham/Hull
£27,000 – £30,000
Work from home option.

My client is a well-established wide-spread Commercial Property Consultancy, with offices based all across the UK.
An exciting job has arisen to join them working as a service charge accountant, alongside a steady team of like-minded individuals.
Job description for Service Charge Accountant
* Producing residential service charge accounts.
* Reconciling independently prepared accounts.
* Liaison of all accounts with Clients and Property Managers where necessary.
* Complex query solving (alongside Property Managers).
* Ensuring RICS Service Charge Residential Management Code is adhered to.
* Production of year end certificates and explanations (for final accounts).
* Assist RMC Directors in understanding of service charge accounts and progress.
* Attend AGM’s and other relevant meetings with Clients.
Job skills required for Service Charge Accountant
* Sound knowledge of Section 20B Legislation.
* Good literacy and numeracy skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Understanding of leasehold property accounting.
* Knowledge of double entry booking keeping, lease interpretation, apportionment, schedules, balancing and reserve fund compliance.
Previous experience in residential property management preferred but not require. IRPM or similar qualifications preferred, along with knowledge of the ‘Tramps’ system.
