Job Description
An independent and dynamic Accountancy Practice in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey are seeking a Senior Accountant / Portfolio Manager for a newly created role. The Portfolio Manager is an important role within the firm and the partners are ideally looking to recruit the next generation of accountant; there will be a considerable amount of responsibility and also a career path for the future. 

The role will suit an experienced accountant (either ACA or ACCA Qualified, or possibly QBE) who enjoys working in a small firm of accountants, with strong client liaison skills and particularly enjoys mentoring more Junior members of the team, specifically those studying for the ACCA qualification.

The ideal candidate will be looking for a management role with plenty of review and supervisory work where you will:

Develop your client portfolio and enjoy offering owner managed businesses a personal and consultative service.

Work closely with clients to prepare the Year end statutory accounts, monthly management accounts as required.

Oversee the work of more junior staff including review of their work to include statutory accounts and Personal Tax returns.

Supervise staff to ensure they are motivated to develop and work to ensure a good and positive team environment where learning is embraced positively.

Prepare quarterly VAT Returns a monthly bookkeeping for those clients who require this service.

The salary guide of £50,000 – £60,000 has been set by Fletcher George as a guide.

The location of the role is commutable from Richmond, Kingston, Twickenham, Sunbury, Teddington, Molesey, Hampton, Surbiton, Chessington, Hounslow, Wimbledon and surrounding areas.
