The SAP Solution Lead role is based within our Babcock Corporate Services (BCS) business unit.

Babcock Corporate Services (BCS) is a global function, with our largest site being Lakeside in Portsmouth, but we operate from multiple sites around the world. BCS supplies and operates all IT, security, procurement, and finance Shared Services. We are embedded alongside the operations that we serve, enabling us to maintain close working relationships that support delivery to our customers. We drive standardisation, simplification and automation across Babcock, to help generate sustainable value for the group and our external customers.

The role

The difference our new SAP Solution Lead will make

As an SAP Solution Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary – working closely with our customers to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance SAP functionality, adding value to the SAP organisation through your technical and business process knowledge of this area.

Day to day, in the SAP Service and Program organisation, you'll play a critical role being responsible for the design, configuration, analysis and support of the SAP FI-CO modules/solutions. This includes the related integrations and user interfaces to meet the business needs of Babcock cross divisional processes.

This role requires monthly travel to Portsmouth alongside remote working arrangements. Therefore, would be ideally suited to someone within commutable distance to Portsmouth due to travel requirements expected.

Essential experience

You will need a university degree or relevant experience in Finance.

You will also need:

Demonstrable experience of hands-on SAP FI-CO solution lead, configuration and support experience
Strong hands-on SAP Project Systems, configuration and support experience
Excellent understanding of business processes and integrations within SAP and Finance related solutions required to deliver the service
Integration experience with Logistics, Project Systems, Timesheets, HR, Plant maintenance, Production Planning and Procurement and Supply ChainLastly, you must hold or have ability to obtain BPSS and SC security clearance.
