Payroll Officer   
Newcastle Upon Tyne
Salary up to 29k 

CV Screen is recruiting for a Payroll Officer based just outside Newcastle. You will be responsible for processing payments for approximately 1300 employees per month. 
 
As Payroll Officer, you will join a fantastic team and join an organisation which offers an excellent benefits package (including 27 days annual leave, flexible working, and a superb pension). After you are fully trained, you will be able to work 2 days per week from home. 

YOUR DUTIES AS PAYROLL OFFICER WILL INCLUDE: 

–        Responsibility for payments to employees amounting to £17mn per annum on average.
–        You will be required to check & verify expense claims totalling more than £1000.00 per month.
–        Responsible for checking accuracy of payroll output to ensure payments are correct which in turn will ensure that budget reports are an accurate reflection of expenditure income.         

COMPANY DETAILS: 

You will be joining a fantastic Public Sector organisation based in Newcastle who employ over 1300 employees. 
 
REQUIRED SKILLS: 

–         Detailed and specialised knowledge and understanding of Payroll Procedures.
–         Knowledge and understanding of Complex Statutory Requirements for PAYE, SMP, SSP, Payment of Tax Credits, Recovery of Student Loans, and Employee Expenses. 

SALARY: 
Salary up to £29,000 
 
HOURS  
37.5 per week (Monday to Friday) with core hours of 10am to 4pm. 

BENEFITS: 

A great holiday package is offered with 27 days annual leave, plus 8 days bank holiday. Flexible working is available and once fully trained, two days can be worked from home.
