Job Description
My client is an established and growing Financial Services provider based in the West Midlands. Due to the expansion of the Operational Risk function they are currently recruiting for an Operational Risk Manager.
Reporting the the Head of Operational Risk your responsibilities will include;
* Supporting the Operational Risk department in the discharge of its duties and provide continuous guidance to line management and the individual business functions
* Providing continuous oversight and challenge in respect of operational risk events
* Assisting in the ongoing embedding and continual enhancement of all aspects of the Operational Risk Management Framework
* Helping to embed operational risk awareness across the first line
* Acting as the operational risk adviser, in particular guiding senior management in their operational risk responsibilities
* Undertaking control oversight activities
* Reviewing and appropriately challenging sources of management information
* Investigation and analysis of operational risk events
* Review and analysis of operational loss data
* Support the Operational Risk capital processes and approach used in calculating the ICAAP requirements
* Assist with other ad-hoc projects
You will be an Operational Risk professional with a minimum of 2 years experience. Exposure to the Banking sector is desirable although not essential. My client offers a competitive salary and benefits package and scope to progress within the organisation
