Job Description
Head of Financial Accounts (6 month FTC) – £75,000 – Preston – Hybrid working (2 days in the office) + Vast array of benefits

Our client is a leading not for profit organisation, and we are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to cover a maternity contract for a period of 6 months.

THE JOB:

Reporting into a Group Financial Controller you will:

Manage a financial accounting team

Oversee and complete the audit of the financial statements for the year ending March 22

Identify and implement improvements for producing the financial statements for the annual accounts for year ending March 23

Support the audit tender process

Review and refresh existing processes, document controls, identifying gaps and define actions for any remedial actions

Ensure new accounting software is tested and implemented

Ad-hoc financial reporting

THE PERSON:

It is essential you are a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with the ability to work in a large and complex organisation. You will have proven experience of managing a small team, and have an appetite to challenge current working processes.
