Job Description
SF Recruitment are currently working with a niche manufacturing business based in Birmingham. They are looking to on board a Group Accountant, to play a key role in the monthly group accounts and consolidation process, as well as the year end statutory accounts process, annual budgeting and other ad hoc projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving business ideally suited to a qualified Accountant with some PQE desirable.

Key tasks:

– Play a key role in the preparation of consolidated monthly accounts and preparing the monthly Group Finance Pack for review by Group Financial Controller.
– Responsible for holding company accounting and reconciliations.
– Accounting for overseas subsidiaries.
– Preparation of group analysis, such as One-Off costs and Other Debtors & Creditors analyses.
– To assist in preparation of statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors as required.
– Group tax reconciliations and liaison with external tax advisors for year end tax provisioning.
– To assist in review, consolidation and reporting of budget and forecasts.
– To communicate with subsidiary accountants including:
1. Responding to queries;
2. Communicating best practice;
3. Ensuring that subsidiaries follow Group accounting policies;
– Undertake internal audit and process review projects.
– To undertake ad hoc project work as required.
