Financial Controller for high-end Fashion Brand Job in Aldgate, Greater London

Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller for a high-end ladies and Men’s fashion Designer brand. Based in Central London, the role will be reporting to the CFO, taking full ownership of running all areas of the finance function, and managing a team to drive the business further.

The Ideal candidate will be ACCA/ CIMA or ACA fully qualified with retail or wholesale sector experience.

Duties will include:

* Take full control of the Finance Function leading a team of 4

* Statutory Accounting, financial reporting UK GAAP

* Overseeing the Monthly Management Accounts process undertaken by the Management Accountant

* Producing and managing the budgets and cash-flow forecasts

* Producing monthly P&L including commentary

* Departmental P&L statements

* Producing accurate, timely business information to the hotel

* Maintaining strong accounting and operational environments to safeguard assets, improve profitability and manage business risks

* Reconciling the balance sheet as part of month-end processes

* Supervising and working in close collaboration with the Purchasing department

* Preparing the annual statutory accounts, in compliance with UK reporting requirements

* Monitoring and reconciliation of inter-company accounts balance

Essential Key Skills

* Strong background within the retail sector in a similar position

* Advanced skills in Excel

* ACCA/ ACA or CIMA Qualified
