Financial Accountant

We are proud to be assisting this established family-run business with its search for a new Financial Accountant who will take on a lead role within their finance team. Working closely with senior management, this is a great opportunity to develop financial strategies which will allow the company to forge forward in an ever-changing modern world.

The ideal Financial Accountant will be comfortable with handling large amounts of data, acting as a decision maker, and providing regular financial reporting. A big part of the role will be to embrace new practices which will aim to improve efficiency whilst maintaining standards to uphold their service which is steeped in tradition.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the running of the day to day operations of the finance department
Statutory accounts preparation
Complete financial accounting and forecasting
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Preparation of year-end audit requirements, and assistance with annual budgets
Be an integral part of the management team
Supervision of other members of the accounting team
Completion of quarterly VAT returns

Skills/ Experience:

ACA, ACCA (or similar) qualified
Fluency in all areas of Microsoft
Knowledge of Sage software system is desirable
Detail orientated and analytical
Relevant field experience
Technical reporting experience
