The company
Source BioScience is an international, AIM-listed business that employs over 200 individuals. They are a leading international provider of laboratory services to clients in the pharmaceutical industry, the NHS and to private healthcare providers. The Group is headquartered in Nottingham, with additional facilities in the UK, Ireland, and the US.
The Group’s revenues are derived from four core business areas: Healthcare Diagnostics, Genomics, Stability Storage and Infectious Disease Testing.
The role
Following an internal promotion, they are recruiting a Financial Accountant who will report to the Financial Controller. This role will give you a broad range of experience across the group, in a fast-paced environment. Alongside the Assistant Financial Accountant, that you manage, you will be responsible for the preparation and consolidation of monthly reporting. You will take ownership of the management information for one of the Groups Divisions and plenty of ad hoc project work – looking at system improvements and controls.
The role will work closely with the CFO and Financial Controller who will help support, train, and develop your skill set. Furthermore, you will partner with external advisors for support on technical accounting matters and tax calculations.
As well as the preparation of accounts this role will include a large amount of project work such as integrations of new acquisitions, international sales tax work and R&D tax credit claims. This will further your skillset and exposure. This will all be supported by the Financial Controller who will work closely with you.
The person
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant ACCA / CIMA or ACA who is technically minded. It would suit an ambitious individual looking to get a large amount of exposure to progress their career. You will enjoy working in a collaborative and supportive team environment that regularly socialises with events such as team lunches and dinners.
