Job Description
Finance Manager – Permanent – Telford
L & C Consulting are currently recruiting on behalf of a successful, privately owned company in central Telford for a new Finance Manager. This SME operating out of it’s modern offices is looking for an experienced, Accounts Professional to join them on a permanent basis.
This role is a senior post within the business and requires a person with the right, practical and ‘hands on’ approach and communication skills. You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director.
Duties will include (but not be limited to):
* Checking & Reconciling company bank statements
* Monthly & Weekly payroll processing
* VAT & PAYE Reconciliations
* Producing Monthly Management Accounts
* Asset control & Depreciation
* Budget & Cash Flow forecasts
* Monitoring Debtors and Creditors including Credit control
* Support to the Purchase ledger controller
* Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
* Liaising directly with customers & Suppliers
* Overseeing the Purchase Ledger Assistant
* General accounts related office duties
Professional skills and experiences:
* You will have worked in a similar accounts based role
* You must be experienced in all aspects of Bookkeeping
* Ideally hold an AAT level 4 (or equivalent) qualification
* Have Efficient Credit Control Skills
* Able to Manage Payroll
* IT literate including good Excel knowledge and ideally experience with Xero
* Must be confident in creating accurate Management Accounts

* Must have excellent communication skills
* Have a high degree of commercial acumen and the ability to use management and financial information to support the development and growth of the business
* Accuracy and attention to detail at all times
* Have an ability to help team members with a 'can do', positive attitude
* Have a discrete yet confident, outgoing, professional manner
* Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities
* Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
* Ability to take direction and work with a number of colleagues at any one time, structuring your own workload and prioritising as necessary
* Excellent organisation and communication skills
* Must be able to work under own initiative with limited supervisory support
The Telford facility is commutable from Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Kidderminster, Bridgnorth, Walsall, Stafford, Ironbridge, Newport, Perton, Shifnal etc
