Finance Manager with Financial Services Experience.

** This is a remote role, but location needs to be within reasonable reach of London for meetings as necessary.

** Up to £55K Basic + Excellent Benefits

Our highly successful, global client is seeking a Finance Manager with services experience to work in their Financial Services business as part of their central accounting function. The position is responsible for financial, commercial and management accounting support to our financial services business including coordinating external funding sources, leading the month end close process and producing management information, dealing with forecasts and budgets, ensuring all transactions are correctly posted and completion of VAT/GST returns for all the financial services entities in the group. The role will report to the Assistant Financial Controller.

Rersponsibilities of the Finance Manager

* Leading the coordination of external funding for the business and ensuring payment requirements are tracked and met

* Be responsible for the preparation of management information for the trading entities

* Development of regular reporting and monitoring of business performance

* Monitoring of cash flow

* Development of internal systems and procedures as the business grows

* Preparation of budgets and forecasts for the management team

* Preparation of annual accounts (statutory accounts and corporation tax returns)

* Be responsible for all accounting work that are needed to make sure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared in an efficient and timely manner for the financial services business

* Support day to day book-keeping and bank activity for the financial services business, as well as month end activities including FX revaluations and VAT returns

* Support the Assistant Financial Controller and Corporate Controller with analysis and reconciliations for month end reporting.

Skills and Experience of the Finance Manager

* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

* Background in financial services preferred

* Strong Excel skills and the ability to work with complex models

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

* The ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders, including external funders and third parties

* The ability to work independently and problem solve

* Experience in working within a large high volume business is desirable

* Proficiency in MS Office Applications; in particular Excel

* Strong work ethic

* Ability to follow up on pending issues

* Ability to meet deadlines

* Some flexibility in working hours during busy periods may be required
