Job Description
Our client, a precision engineering and manufacturing business, have been experiencing considerable growth over recent years and are now recruiting for experienced Finance Assistant to join their team. As Finance Assistant you will be supporting the Finance Manager with finance and administration duties as relevant.

Hours of work will be part time, approximately 20 hours per week. Salary circa £25,000 – £30,000 pro rata, depending upon experience.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Assist with the purchase ledger function

* Match invoices to goods received notes

* Process purchase invoices

* Reconcile trade creditors to supplier statements

* Preparation of weekly and monthly payment runs

* Post payments received to customer accounts

* Credit control

* Sending customer statements

* Assist in preparation of month-end reconciliations

* Assist in preparation of daily, weekly and monthly management reports

* Assist in the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns

To be successful in the role of Finance Assistant, you will possess the following experience:

* Proven track record within a similar role (Ideally within a manufacturing / engineering environment)

* Good awareness of deadlines

* Ability to work as part of a team and independently

* Decent understanding of Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Excel

* Knowledge of Sage Line 50 would be desirable

This position is based in Evesham and is easily commutable from Gloucestershire, Redditch, Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Alcester, Studley and Worcester.
