Job Description
This is a diverse role requiring excellent general finance skills and specific payroll experience and knowledge.
We are recruiting for a Payroll and Finance Assistant to join the turn IT on Finance team, reporting into the HR & Finance Director. This role will own the payroll function, comprising of over 175 employees and will also be responsible for uploading pension payments. In addition, it will include preparation and processing of monthly mileage reports, maintaining records for VAT, processing staff expense claims and monthly reconciliation of company credit cards along with other general finance and office duties are required.
To be successful in this role you will need to be flexible in your approach to provide a seamless payroll process, you will enjoy processing payroll and working within a finance team. You should be highly motivated, organised, be able to prioritise workloads and have excellent attention to detail.
Essential skills and experience required:
Processing and preparation of payroll
Handling pension payments and records
Maintaining records (such as mileage) for VAT purpose
Being a proactive team member
Handling general queries (both internal and external)
Credit cards including posting, reconciliation, and management of credit card accounts
Excellent attention to detail & a good understanding of UK VAT
Highly numerate and an experienced Excel user
The role is offered on a part-time basis, full year basis.
In return, we are offering a salary of between £23,000 – £28,000 full time equivalent salary, we’re looking for the someone to do 24 hours across 3 or 4 days (salary will be pro-rata’d accordingly).
