Job Description
Position: Finance Assistant
Responsible to: Finance Manager
Location: Swann Road, Cambridge, CB5 8LA
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £23,676 – £25,170 per annum (£19,197 – £20,408 pro rata)

Cambridge Cyrenians has been providing accommodation and support to homeless men and women for over 50 years.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Finance Assistant to help support the objectives of our charity in meeting the needs of vulnerable, local, single homeless men and women.
Based at our newly acquired headquarters in Cambridge created in response to our increased workload, you will work with the Finance Manager with specific responsibility for the Purchase Ledger and Rent Accounting, along with general finance administrative support.
The post includes; regular supervision, continuous professional development and an opportunity to learn, develop and shape an exciting role.
About You
We are looking for an individual with an eye for detail and accuracy with a flexible approach to finance tasks, able to use their initiative and keen to make a difference at Cambridge Cyrenians, playing a pivotal role in this exciting period of growth so we can better support homeless men and women in Cambridge.
The ideal candidate will have 12 months experience as a finance assistant, experience in handling cash is desirable, preferably with, or working towards, an AAT level 3 or equivalent qualification. Experience within the charity sector is not essential.
