CREDIT CONTROLLER
Job Details
Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager duties will include:
Achieve the monthly cash collection targets and aged debt targets notified by the Chief Income Officer for assigned accounts. Explain any non-achievement of targets in a monthly exception report to the Accounts Receivable Manager, which identities future options for progress. Identify and address any shortfall in own performance, as supported by the Accounts Receivable Manager/Chief Income Officer.
Develop effective working relationships with contacts in assigned accounts to facilitate the ongoing resolution of outstanding debt.
Apply procedures to ensure that incoming Sales Ledger monies are correctly and promptly matched to the relevant invoice/credit notes on the Sales Ledger, working closely with the General Ledger Manager as necessary. Proactively manage unallocated cash balances on the Sales Ledger for assigned accounts and take the necessary action to ensure these are minimal, thereby ensuring the integrity of statements issued to debtors.
Proactively manage the levels of unallocated credit notes on assigned accounts, taking the necessary action to promptly resolve outstanding items, in line with Trust Policy, to ensure ongoing account and month end statements are as accurate as possible.
Other ad hoc duties as required.
Candidate Criteria
* Recent and relevant Credit Control experience is essential.
* You must have demonstrable debt negotiation experience.
* Experience of manipulating/ interrogating ledger and information systems is desirable.
* Demonstrably good IT skills including Advanced Excel skills are essential.
