Job Description
Credit Controller, Letchworth

Up to £30,000 DOE

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the purpose of the role is to manage the timely collection of debts, resolve queries and maintain the sales ledger.

Responsibilities:-

* Evaluating new credit requests and conducting client credit checks

* Managing and collecting debts from company debtors

* Posting sales receipts daily

* Setting up terms of credit for new clients

* Negotiating payment plans

* Managing the collection of all payments and debts

* Responding to client enquiries

* Sending customer statements monthly

* Managing the sales ledger and resolving invoice disputes

* Liaising with customers and the sales team

Person Specification:-

* Microsoft Excel

* Excellent communication skills, telephone manner and technique

* Experience of Sage Accounting would be an advantage

* Organised, able to work to deadlines

* Able to work alone or as part of a team

* To use initiative in problem solving
