Credit Controller Job in Bracknell, Bracknell Forest
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to cover the following responsibilities:
* Chase payment of overdue accounts via phone, email and letter.
* Reducing aged debt in accordance with pre-agreed targets.
* Dealing with queries both internally and externally to ensure a smooth and timely resolution.
* Completing daily banking (BACS and cheques) to include identification, posting/applying and allocation.
* Assess and update credit history of existing and new customers, using online credit agency services.
* Opening and setting up new credit accounts.
* Reconciliation of accounts where payments have been incorrectly posted
* Reconciliation of the sales ledger on a monthly basis with 3rd party providers.
* Take ownership of the accounts receivables ledger, ensuring that any issues are progressed and escalated appropriately.
* Monthly bank reconciliations.
* Processing credits for returned items promptly.
* Applying Payments.
* General administration work to support other members of the team.
Must have
* Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office – Word and Excel
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Previous experience of working in a Sales Ledger and Credit Control environment
* Strong attention to detail
* Knowledge of Xero accounting software is advantageous but not essential
