Job Description
Ashberry Recruitment are looking for a Bookkeeper on a full-time basis to work within a well-established Accountancy firm for our client based on the outskirts of Skipton.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate bookkeeping experience, ideally with Xero accounting software.
Responsibilities
* Reporting directly to the VAT & Payroll Manager
* Work with a diverse portfolio of clients, including within Agriculture
* Maintain bank feeds and perform bank reconciliations using bookkeeping software
* Prepare the VAT returns for a number of clients
* Become a first point of contact for VAT and MTD queries
* Support the Accounts Preparation team where necessary
* Set up new businesses on bookkeeping software, and provide support to the clients as required
Requirements
* Experience with Xero Accounting Software is strongly preferred
* Confident in dealing directly with clients via face-to-face or via emails or phone
Salary/Hours
* Circa £20k to £25k per annum depending on experience and qualifications
* Office hours are 08:45 to 17:15 Monday to Friday
* 23 Holidays Per Annum, plus standard bank holidays
